Giving Thanks

Andie, Andie, Andie Lou
So beautiful with eyes of blue.
She'll break their hearts
And make 'em sick.
Some Angel whacked her with a pretty-stick.

Duncan, Duncan, Duncan George,
Heart deeper than the Cheddar Gorge.
His mind is open and his wit is quick.
The boy's so sharp he doesn't miss a trick.

Thank you Lord, for these two sherbets,
These two cheeky little Herberts.
Everyday I am glad
For the privilege
Of being their Dad

#TwitterPoetry

Had a go at writing deep & meaningful poems on Twitter in 140 characters or less...well...poems...well...words and stuff.

Lonely night as dark as your hair. Imagining that you're laying there, breathing softly under this sheet. Remembering our souls did meet.
...It was dark when I wrote this one.

These two had Known each other. And the Knowing made honest rhyming. Later, fond memories did the same & he knew that he had loved her.

...If you think this is about you...it isn't...it's supposed to be poetry :-P (well...actually...it might be)

Opium takes many forms, to distract & keep problems on the shelf. How hard it is to take them down & spend a moment with oneself.
...I kept finding ways to avoid filing my tax return...

Tinker Bell

Tinker Bell,
Tinker Bell,
Peter flew away.
Captain Hook read a book
And the 'gator got away.
Hey!

Retreat

Artist & Poet
Lover & Friend
Smile so broken
It may never mend

Cold & Windy
Soft & Warm
Wind blown kiss
Cozy covers at dawn

Passion & Tears
Hot & Intense
So sorry I fled
I claim self defense

Hazelnut & Pineapple
Manchego & Brie
Goodbye my B-Dub
My sweet JayBee

Little Bird

Like Darzee's wife she cries "Oh my broken wing!"
A little tailor-bird hopelessly fluttering,
piping sorrowfully, never leaving the ground,
calling for help but afraid of every sound.
Little bird, it's best that I don't follow
lest my intentions appear quite hollow.
So I'll sit very still if you come near
to show that there is nothing to fear.
I hope that you make it back to your nest
and feel safe enough to finally rest.
One day, when you are truly free
Maybe you will fly back to me.
But for now, let your heart harden,
for there are worse things than snakes
in this garden.

Don't let your heart bleed
Know what is broken, mends
And all we really need
is Faith, Family and Friends

The Black Dog

The Black Dog came for Helgi
on a warm spring night
and overcame him so completely
that Helgi gave up the fight

I miss my friend and fear for others
who have felt the Black Dog's breath
We must have faith and stand as brothers
For a life without hope is death

Far Away

Far Away I Miss
Your Lips, your Kiss
I wish to be Beside
You to Slip and Slide
And Glide Inside
You my Mouth
to Travel South
With ease to
Tease and Please
You to Hear
You Groan
And Moan
And Sing to the Sky
To Hear you Sigh
Face to Face
In my Embrace
I Miss
Your Pretty Eyes
I Miss
You

L-Bomb

Feeling the rush
Of Loves first blush
A teenager's crush
Into the fire
Burning with desire
Never to tire
Of kissing lips
Finger tips
And Silken hips
But slowly the yearning
And burning
Is turning
Into something real
And I kneel
Before you and say
Come what may
I will be true
I love you

And the universe collapsed to the size of a pea,
And disapeared through the tear in your knee
